How it works

No, you are not permitted to share or lend your smart card and/or your credentials with other people. Your subscription is personal and non-transferable. Doing so creates financial liability for you in the event that the bike is not returned on time or if there is damage to the bike. Further, it is grounds for the cancellation of your subscription.

Yes. It will be soon available for free download for Android and iOS. The innovative app will support you during the pilot phase of the project. For more info, check this website.

– much more!

Why can't I keep the bike more than 30 minutes?

The bike-sharing system is designed to promote the constant use and turnover of bikes for short journeys. The 30 minutes session provides an incentive for members to keep their trips short and let other members take the bike.

What if I keep the bike more than 30 minutes?

Keeping the bike more than 30 minutes (up to 60 minutes) is only allowed 3 times per calendar month. Should you exceed this limit your account will be blocked for 30 days.

No, you can’t. The bike-sharing scheme is designed to further encourage public transport use and intermodality: this is the basic concept behind our research project!

Can I carry the bike on public means of transport?

No, you can’t. It is forbidden to carry, tow and be towed by other means of transport and/or persons and/or animals.

Does the bike have a lock?

No, the bike has no lock. Please consider that the bicycle must never be left unattended. The bike sharing service differs from a simple rental service as it assumes that the bicycle can be shared by several users throughout the day. The bicycle must be used for the time necessary to reach their destination and immediately made available to other subscribers.

Can I take more than one bike with the same subscription at the same time?

No, you can’t. Only one bike can be taken at a time per session. Another bicycle cannot be taken until the first is returned.

Can I carry passengers on the bike?

No, you are not allowed to carry passengers (adults, childs, animals) on the bike.

What if a station is full and I need to find an empty slot to return a bike?

If you have a bike you wish to return, but there are no available slots at a station, you must locate a station with available slots and return the bike there. The kiosk located at each station will provide real-time information about which nearby stations have available slots.

What if I don’t return properly the bike?

When returning a bike you must ensure that it is properly locked to the slot. Always check that:

1) The green hook is closed and is no longer possible to unlock the bike;

2) the display shows the message “Thank you” or “Grazie”.

If you leave the bicycle without locking it properly to the slot, the timer continues to run and the bike is considered abandoned.
